Welcome, June 2026. We enjoy the present, wondering what future will bring and today, we also will look back into the archive of our photos. Today the number is 744. To play along, I went to my photos file folder and typed the number 744 into the search bar.
Here are some of the found photos.
The idea of the „Numbers Game“ is coming from Judy Dykstra-Brown

The first picture is somewhen taken in 1997 or even before. At that time I am still using color slide film in my Canon T90 SLR. And I was sometimes lazy and didn’t record the date and technical details of the photos.
This train was my daily commuter to my school for about one year. I never took any pictures that time (1970s), and being on tour with two of my boys, I found this train many kilometres away from my hometown in a total different train station.
Another kind of „transport“ is that cruise ship.
„Costa Luminosa“ was at the pier in Lissabon in September 2009. In the meantime, the owner of the ship changed and the name is now „Carnival Luminosa“. Nevertheless, I still cannot imagine to make holidays on such a swimming town.

In 2012, this knight was passing my lens during the „Staufer Festival“ in my home town.
The Staufer or Hohenstaufen dynasty were a German noble family and ruling dynasty of the Holy Roman Empire (1138 – 1254)
They expanded their power across Germany, Italy, and Burgundy, playing a major role in medieval European politics, the Crusades, and the cultural blossoming of the era.
The most famous Staufer emperors include Frederick I. Barbarossa, Henry VI., and Frederick II.
At almost the same time, I caught this evening sky over Schwäbisch Gmünd. Between the picture above and this one are exact 1000 pictures, but taken on the same weekend during the „Staufer Festival“

Steam locomotives are only in service at some museum railroads in Germany (except some regular trains on Rügen Island and the Molli in Bad Doberan at the coast of the Baltic Sea)
This picture was taken in May 2017 in Southern Germany.
I am a real supporter of black and white photography. Like on this photo, no colour disturbs the lines and the dark clouds. (2020, Switzerland)

In 2023, I had the chance to be in Duxford, Great Britain to join the „Battle of Britain“ event. The huge B17 Flying Fortress Bomber was inspected by the crew before the flight display.
