Judy’s Numbers Game #122, Apr 27, 2026

In Germany it is still Monday, April 27th, and so I am not too late to post some pictures based on Judy Dykstra-Brown´s “Numbers Game”. It is round , and I present some pictures that have the 244 in the file name or as a sequence number.

In 2011, Triumph International celebrated its 125th anniversary with a series of events for its employees. This photo was taken during a fashion show in Bad Zurzach, the headquarters of the company, which operates almost worldwide. The photo shows a replica corset.

This photo was also taken in 2011 and shows the view from Hohenneuffen, a castle in the Swabian Alb, over the hills and valleys of the region.

In 2015, we were in Stockholm, and this high-contrast black-and-white photo was taken on the spur of the moment. It shows how closely joy and sorrow, old age and youth, are intertwined in life

I took this photo of a Land Rover in the Republic of Ireland in 2016. When I was younger, I always wanted to explore the world in a Land Rover. And even today, I still get excited whenever I see one of these classic vehicles.

No, this photo wasn’t taken at some unknown location in South America, but right where I live in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. Every year during Carnival season, the city hosts the International Giggen Music Festival. Music groups dressed in all sorts of costumes play some pretty offbeat music as they parade through the streets. And of course, there are plenty of brightly colored costumes to be seen. (2018)

I’ve already shared a few photos from the International World Christmas Circus. Almost every year, we treat ourselves to this event, which showcases the very best of circus acrobatics. The great thing for us photographers is that we’re actually allowed to take photos (no videos or flash, just classic stills). This photo was taken in 2018.

Water is life. Water always draws me in. And I always find subjects to photograph. This photo was also taken at Lake Constance in 2020.

Just like the seagull, I also enjoy taking an evening walk on the beach. Unfortunately, the Baltic Sea is quite far from where I live, so these walks are very rare. (2020)

Ports also fascinate me. Unfortunately, they aren’t that easy to access—at least not the big ones. But a silhouette of the Sassnitz Port on the Baltic Sea in the evening light has its charm. (2022)

I’ve mentioned several times before that I love rockabilly, rock ’n’ roll, and the vibe of the 1950s and 1960s. And I truly hope this woman has the energy, strength, and determination to succeed (no matter what). Where would we be without women? (2024)
